'Something strange and magical happened to my three young daughters at Ellen and Jim's Kauai paradise Inn - they became perfect children. They woke up and read each other stories and never whined or squabbled. We spent our days surfing, snorkeling and hiking; our evenings hunting for frogs in the inn's private stream.
A wonderful transformation occurred to my wife and myself- we became happier, more relaxed, more attractive and more interesting. Then we can came home and everything sort of relapsed....obviously, we have got to get back to Kauai paradise Inn, and soon!

Months later, we are still telling people that our trip to Kauai Paradise Inn the best vacation ever! The only thing to add to to all the foregoing is that after a few days-- we were telling people we were staying with friends. See you soon, we hope.'

'Ellen- I feel like we not only had the best vacation ever but that we made a dear new friend. Thank you for making everything so wonderful. The house made us feel not only comfortable but also pampered; the land is so beautiful and beautifully landscaped- we loved playing in your stream and befriending the frogs. I wish I could sit on the veranda with you every night and drink pineapple wine, look at the stars and exchange stories. This is the ONLY place will ever stay on Kauai. I hope we will be back soon.'

'Dear Ellen and Jim- This was the best vacation ever!!! I'm so sad that it's already time to leave. During this vacation, I learned to surf, snorkeled at Anini beach, tried shave ice, Kayaked the Hanalei river, hiked the Napali coast, hiked Sleeping Giant mountain trail, saw the Hoopii Falls, and hunted some frogs. Also, during this trip, my mom found my first birthday present: a surfboard fin! I think now you can see why I said this was the best vacation ever!
Thank you so much for this vacation! I'm really glad that I got to stay here at Kauai Paradise Inn. I hope you like the walking stick I gave you. I can't wait to come back here.'

'Ellen and Jim- Wow! Even the drive to the inn is like no other on the island. I thought we were in Kenya. Spectacular!
This is my third time to Kauai, but really the first time. I never felt so close to the island. You have opened your hearts, your home and your island to us. I am so grateful!
This is the way to embrace Kauai. We have real choices here: solitude and tranquility or crowds and activities. You gave us real control over our vacation experience.
So many memorable moments; there was the earth-shaking, thrilling thunder and lightening storm that cut the power. You both lovingly and thoughtfully brought us candles and flashlights and we huddled around the fabulous kitchen table as if it were a camp fire and told our stories. Absolutely priceless! And my friend David who never cooks, was so taken by the gorgeous kitchen, he made three meals for me. That's inspiration!
I am quite emotional at this moment, I feel as though I am leaving behind home and dear friends. For brief slice of time, we had a big slice of Kauai.
We will never forget our stay and will recommend the inn- this wondrous, enchanted place- to everyone. The very best to you both. mahalo and Aloha Oy-Vey!!!'

Meeting both of you upon our arrival, and seeing for the first time, your magnificent home and its surroundings....we were all unprepared for the stunning natural beauty and luxury before our eyes, ears and nose.
We have visited Kauai five times and stayed at several "high-end" locations, but none of these other locations came close to what both of you have created---a true Kauai experience.
Your thirty years of living on Kauai proved invaluable in finding us the most satisfying adventures on the island. We felt like locals.
I can't thank you enough for you personal attention to our children. They were enchanted with the tour of your botanical gardens and were especially thrilled with the flowering orchids, frogs and toads in your stream and waterfall!
